Work with us
Founded in 1948, Beeston Hall School is an independent boarding and day Prep and Pre-Prep School for boys and girls, aged 4-13. Beeston has a warm, family ethos, welcoming a diverse selection of children from Norfolk, London and overseas.
Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Beeston’s 35 acres are set 500 metres from coast, and adjacent to 700 acres of National Trust woodland. We are 35 minutes from Norwich airport and just 10 minutes more from the thriving city centre, with its restaurants, shops, bars, museums and galleries, and just 7 minutes’ walk from a railway station to take you there and beyond.
The Beeston team is a friendly and dynamic one, with both teaching and support staff working together, united by our joint commitment to the children, and the knowledge that our reputation depends on the consistent delivery of the very highest standards. The result is that we have a staff noted for its loyalty and many decades of expertise and experience. The school generously supports staff through training and development. Recent examples include ISI inspector training, facilitating a part time MA, training for FSA accreditation, a shooting qualification, as well as the usual regulatory and academic training and updates for staff. A vibrant Common Room, dedicated to self-learning and development means that, either through formal CPD or the sharing of expertise, enthusiasm and experience, staff are life-long learners.
All adults working at Beeston have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of every pupil, both physically and emotionally, inside and outside the school. The safeguarding and welfare of children is of paramount importance to us and we have policies and procedures in place to ensure this is the case. This involves ensuring that pupils are protected from significant physical or emotional harm and having a positive commitment to the satisfactory development and growth of each individual. Everyone working in the School is aware of the required steps to follow in the School’s Child Protection Guidelines.
We are a listening and telling school and encourage all to share with someone they trust any worries or concerns they may have. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Holly Davies who can be contacted on 01263 837324. However, if there is a situation where an individual wishes to talk to someone outside the school in total confidence, the services of Childline are available for all children on 0800 1111, 24 hours a day or on www.childline.org.uk. The NSPCC number is 0808 800 5000.
