Headmaster’s Welcome
The effect of Beeston on its pupils is powerful and long-lasting. Not only do they achieve outstanding results (65% of the cohort with scholarships and awards), our leavers treasure their experiences here and find it a terrific springboard into the many senior schools they go onto, as grounded and capable contributors, with a spirited approach to life.
Occupying 35 wonderful woodland acres near the expansive beaches of the North Norfolk coast, Beeston is arguably one of the most idyllically located prep schools in the country. Indeed, for many former pupils, the feeling of Beeston, set against the backdrop of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, figures vividly in the memory long after they have left. It is a magical place to spend part of your childhood.
We are unashamedly ambitious for every child and are proud of our teaching staff and our strong academic record. It is an inclusive community and all pupils are encouraged to ‘get stuck in’ and challenge themselves. Learning to become a good role model is at the centre of Beeston’s mission. We celebrate diversity and encourage children to embrace the many opportunities on offer, with purpose, empathy and – no doubt, on occasions, resilience, too. On the basis that happy children learn better, everything we undertake is devoted to the aim of developing confidence alongside each child’s individual potential.
A typical Beeston pupil is well-rounded, happy and confident. They have learnt to strive, to listen, to be tolerant and to value relationships, such that they are recognised for their positive attitude, good manners and outgoing natures, as well as their academic preparation.
Choosing the right school for your child is a huge decision; perhaps one of the most important a parent makes. I look forward to showing you the many ways in which we ensure every child at Beeston flourishes.
